A peaceful three-bedroom let on a working Cumbrian farm.
Hazel Edge · North Cumbria · CA6 5QN
Nestled on a working farm in the fells above the Eden Valley, Hazel Edge is a 1980s bungalow that lets you unhook from the clock. Three bedrooms, a farmhouse kitchen, and a garden facing the evening light — the kind of place you arrive tired and leave reluctant.
The air is different here. The hills hold the silence. The sunsets take their time.
The Bungalow
Built in the 1980s and positioned on a rise with views across open countryside, Hazel Edge sleeps six across three bedrooms. The kitchen is the heart of the house — proper size, well equipped, and with a window that faces the best of the sky.
The Farm
Hazel Edge sits within a real working farm. Sheep graze the hillsides through the seasons; dry stone walls thread through the landscape in every direction. Guests are welcome to walk the farm tracks and take in the rhythms of rural Cumbria.
This is not a managed resort. It’s a family farm with a house to share. Come as you are.
Inside
Every room is set up for comfort without fuss. Good beds, a real kitchen, plenty of seating, and windows to remind you where you are.
Where you are
North Cumbria places you within reach of some of England’s most remarkable landscapes — and far enough from all of them to feel genuinely away.
Keswick, Ullswater and the high fells are a short drive. Come back for supper.
Vast, wild and uncommercial. The Solway Firth has a light all its own, particularly at dusk.
Walk a section of the wall through open moorland. Two thousand years in an afternoon.
